World Gym Fitness Centers was established in 1976. Fitness pioneer Joe Gold and seven-time Mr. Olympia title winner Arnold Schwarzenegger opened the very first World Gym in Venice Beach, California. Because World Gym attracted bodybuilders from across the globe, Joe Gold decided to expand his fitness centers, and hired Mike Uretz (current CEO of World Gym International) to help him achieve this goal. From the 1980''s to the 1990''s, World Gym expanded successfully and rapidly in the U.S. and overseas.

In Taiwan,World Gym opened its first location at the Taichung Central Shopping Mall in 2001, and added a second Taichung location in 2004, in the popular SOGO shopping district. After these years'' hard working, World Gym is currently now has 9 mega clubs island wide,located in Taipe, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung.  With the rapid development of World Gym,it creates the convenience and quality of service for all members as well.
